Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills, staining) in one time without having to swap out devices. They can also help save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
For instance, you can choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only drawback is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, a quick glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and what obstacles it's avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks must be completed like emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the water tank by itself with a 600ml of eufy solution.

good robot vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop able to operate for 184 minutes in Quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. Unlike last year's model it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may overlook.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.
The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another noteworthy characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners as well as clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. The robot can also reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it a great option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that enables the X40 to avoid damaging floors by excessive back-and forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or separately. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is intuitive and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it a great choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive available however, it comes with numerous additional features that set it apart. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a good method of keeping your home clean for longer.
There's an impressive amount of settings available that include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options to customize the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are many features that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
